Cooler Monday: When rain, storms return

(WJW) — A seasonably cooler afternoon with temperatures in the mid and upper 60s is expected. Clouds thin out later in the day with a better chance for some sunshine closer to the lakeshore.

A weak disturbance will move south of our area, but most of us should remain dry on Monday.

Rain and thunderstorms return late Tuesday. A line of strong to severe storms is expected to move in late Tuesday into early Wednesday. The SPC currently has a Slight Risk for severe weather for western parts of the area.

An unsettled week ahead with only a couple days where we’re mostly dry. No day is a complete wash-out. We would call it partly to mostly cloudy with a few passing showers or rumbles of thunder at times.

Cooler temps return as we head into Mother’s Day Weekend. We wrap up the week with temps ranging about 5 degrees below average.
