The public is being asked to avoid the area of 40th and Kentucky streets in the Chickasaw neighborhood after an LMPD officer was shot multiple times. Just before 3 a.m., officials posted an update on X, formerly known as Twitter, to avoid the area due to a “heavy police presence.”According to a high-ranking administration official, the officer was rushed into surgery at UofL Hospital where doctors worked to figure out the exit and entry wounds.A source tells WLKY the officer is in “critical but stable condition.”Gov.
