Police in Statesboro say a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex just minutes from Georgia Southern’s campus. SPD says 20-year-old Larry Chapman was found shot multiple times in the stairway of The Connection apartments on Stambuk Lane. Officers on scene rendered first aid before he was taken to nearby East Georgia Medical. He died at the hospital. Investigators say they searched and secured evidence on scene and that the shooter has been identified and interviewed. Police believe this was not a random shooting.
