And just like that, we’re gearing up for another Paris Fashion Week. From February 27 to March 7, the City of Light will see fashion’s big league present their Fall/Winter 2023 women’s collections.
The nine-day-long schedule is full of highlights and surprises. The pressure is on for Saint Laurent — whose menswear show was the talk of the town — to present an equally buzzy collection on February 28. The Olsen twins’ fortress of quiet luxury, The Row, will take to the catwalk on March 1 followed by Paco Rabanne, which rejoined the women’s schedule after showing its previous ready-to-wear collection during Couture Week last July.
On March 2, Schiaparelli will stage its first ready-to-wear runway show (previously, RTW collections were shown in presentation form at its headquarters). Also in firsts: Nina Ricci will show its first collection by newly appointed creative director Harris Reed on March 3; Ludovic de Saint Sernin will unveil his debut collection for Ann Demeulemeester on March 4; Balenciaga will stage its first post-scandal runway show on March 5.
Instead of closing out PFW as usual, Louis Vuitton will show on March 6. The grand finale? Y/Project and Miu Miu, both slated for March 7.
Other highlights: Dries Van Noten on March 1, Rick Owens on March 2, Loewe and Coperni on March 3, and Vivienne Westwood on March 4, the house’s first show sans Dame Viv herself.
