Niko Partners’ new 2022 Asia-10 Games Market report projects that by 2026, the Asia-10 gaming markets will hit $41 billion in consumer spending.
The Asia-10 consists of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, and India.
The report also estimates that for the year 2022, consumer spending among the group will reach $36 billion.
Japan’s and Korea’s markets make up 77% of the Asia-10’s gaming revenue.
The market research and consulting firm highlights that players among the countries are forecasted to reach 789 million this year and 1 billion in 2026.
Additionally, Niko Partners’ newly released 2022 India Games Market report projects that the country will amass $704.5 million in player spending and $1.4 billion by 2026.
It notes that India is the second largest gaming audience worldwide and it makes up 50% of the Asia-10 player base.
