Chris Evert, after seeing how Mirka comforted Roger Federer during his retirement event at Laver Cup, nicknamed the Swiss Maestro’s wife. “The Rock,” Evert nicknamed Mirka on Twitter.
At the end of the match, the tears of Rafa Nadal, Roger’s friend and rival, impressed but even more tender was the embrace of Mirka (wife), parents and children of the Swiss tennis player, all gathered around Roger’s wife.
Roger Federer is the only one that makes Evert cry
Chris Evert sent Roger Federer a video message in which she expressed her love for him and stated that he is the only player who makes her cry when he loses.

I think I’ve dreaded doing this video for a long time because it means you are going to retire, but I just want you to know that I appreciate how nice you were to my boys in their early years when you always came out of the locker room to say hi to them.
I just want you to know, along with the beauty of your game, what impressed me the most was that you were such a great sport both on and off the court. Win or lose, you were just so gracious and a gentleman. You know you are my favorite player.
You always have been my favorite player, and you know you are the only player that I cry when you lose. So those two things are important to me. Anyway, good luck to you and be happy,” Chris Evert says in the video. Besides the above, Evert recently suggested Federer that he should start an academy.
